Harold's music has been influenced by many performers from the Beatles and many of the 60s super groups to James Taylor and Jim Croce. He fell in love with the pure sound and virtuosity of Doc Watson and many others from the folk days in the early 70s. He has grown to love the energy, harmonies and the sweet simple truths of the bluegrass sound and songs. Having grown up in eastern NC many of his early and at times not so early songs are about people, places and traditions important to him at that and this time. Harold now plays on occasion at various places around town. With the onset of the Pandemic there has been lots of time for writing and recording, at home of course. Harold is always looking for a good story to put to music.
