iQ MUSIC was founded and started in 2019 by Le’Quan Walsh who was born and raised in Knightdale, NC. Despite being a newcomer to the scene, Le'Quan is no stranger to music. A creative at heart, he has been writing lyrics and his own compositions since he was a kid. He fell in love with music at an early age. Stylistically, Le'Quan's love for music echoes influences of his late mother, Teresa Smith, who sang in the gospel choir for a world renowned gospel artist as well as his father, a local celebrity in the Quartet Gospel circuit. The very first instrument that he ever played was the drums at age 5. His mom purchased his first keyboard when he was 13 years old, and through his love of music, he perfected his God-given gift of composing music. Shortly after purchasing the keyboard, his mom purchased a karaoke machine for him and that’s when he started making beats and recording songs. Le'Quan has cemented himself as a reputable beat architect within North Carolina's burgeoning music scene. ​ Le’Quan released a Children’s Album titled “Marty & Me” in July 2019. This album consists of 8 inspirational and educational songs for preschool age children. Songs like, "I Love Me" teaches children how to love themselves and be confident with who they are, and, "Put Them Away", a fun song that encourages children to clean up after themselves. This album can be found on all digital platforms. He received Producer credits for another album titled “Mrs. Tiffany’s Circle Time” by Tiffany Tate, which is a hit in the childcare industry and featured in childcare workshops worldwide. ​ Le’Quan created countless beats and written a multitude of songs. His work may be enjoyed on YouTube, SoundCloud, ReverbNation, Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, and Pandora. He released 3 songs through YouTube in 2019 which has earned over 200,000 views. ​ His music can be described as heartfelt stories that take your mind through a journey of deep introspection, while contrasted with infectious beats and hooks that keep the listener coming back for more.
