Project WHY set out to create a model whereby quality education support in underprivileged areas, could be spearheaded by parents even if they were illiterate. The idea was to empower the community to pool its resources and run a sound support programme for its children.
Little Sparrow in the tree, fly down, down to me, little Sparrow in my hand, fly up to the bending branch, little Sparrow o'er the glen fly, spread your beautiful wings. Fly, little Sparrow fly Little Sparrow watches out to sea, he can see further than me, Fly, little Sparrow fly Little Sparrow bends his head, steps up on the Southern wind and he's gone, little Sparrow's movin' on. Fly, little Sparrow, fly

Hey, welcome to SMAS. I'm new here myself, but I've been writing songs for 40+ years, so I hope you don't mind a couple songwriting suggestions.... A couple things to think about - the song starts out talking "to" the sparrow ("your" beautiful wings) but then ends up talking "about" the sparrow (bends "his" head; and "he's" gone); it can make a stronger lyric to be consistent about this. Also, I can't tell if you're deliberately singing a minor-key melody over a major-key accompaniment or if you're, umm, landing a bit south of some of the high notes. Again, welcome to SMAS and I'm sure the kids will be pleased to hear the song you made from their story. Keep at it!
