Operation: Bye Bye Bad Guys

by Clayton and McKenna (age 3 and 2) | Partner Organization: The Sing Me a Story Foundation

Once upon a time, there was a very brave knight named Sir Clayton Remington. Sir Clayton had the power of super speed. He also had a younger sister named Lady McKenna, who shared his super speed and had the additional superpower of pink!
One day, Lady McKenna woke up not feeling very well. Sir Clayton Remington and Lady McKenna traveled to the Cleveland Clinic, where they met two very smart doctors: Dr. Cass (who wore a rainbow crayon hat) and Dr. Trucco (who wore spectacular spectacles).
Dr. Cass and Dr. Trucco examined Lady McKenna and realized there were bad guys trapped inside her, making her sick! “We can make her better, but we need your help,” Dr. Cass said.
Dr. Cass explained that they could make a magic potion to cure McKenna and kick the bad guys out, but they needed help collecting all the ingredients. Dr. Trucco handed Sir Clayton a list of the ingredients: ● Kerosene ● Socks ● Green Bell Peppers ● Glitter
Sir Clayton and Lady McKenna set off to find the ingredients. First, they visited a rainbow pumpkin patch. Crawling through the patch, Lady McKenna found one last green bell pepper waiting to be picked! She picked it and put it in her backpack. They had found their first item on the list. Suddenly, Sir Clayton began to feel extra powerful! The pumpkin patch had super nutrients that gave Sir Clayton and McKenna rocketship powers, enabling them to fly! To test out their new powers, Sir Clayton and McKenna flew to the nearby Four Seasons Tree (also known as “Clayton’s Tree”) to get a good view of the surrounding area.
“Look! A volcano!” Shouted Sir Clayton. “Let’s check it out!” With one enormous leap, they flew all the way to the top of the smoking volcano. Sir Clayton looked around and saw an old kerosene lamp lying on its side. “An explorer must have left this a long time ago!” Clayton said. “It’s just what we need!” They put it in their backpack and checked it off their list.
“Look!” Lady McKenna shouted. “You can see the ocean from here! Let’s go for a swim and see our friend Yellow Fish!” Sir Clayton and Lady McKenna dove from the top of the volcano all the way into the ocean with a loud SPLASH! The two siblings swam through a colorful coral reef, looking for their friend, Yellow Fish. Yellow Fish was shy, so they always had to search for him. This time, they spotted his tail sticking out of a lonely sock that had sunk to the bottom of the ocean. “Sock!” Sir Clayton shouted, pointing. They swam over to Yellow Fish and said hello before he dashed away. They grabbed the soggy sock and put it in their backpack. On their way back, they saw fish, sharks, and a crocodile! Then, Lady McKenna spotted some mermaids. The mermaids had sparkling tails covered in glitter. “Excuse me,” Lady McKenna said. “Could I borrow some of your glitter?” “Sure!” the mermaids replied. They shook their tails, collected the glitter, and handed it over to Lady McKenna in a clam shell. “Thank you!” Lady McKenna said. “We have everything we need!” she told Sir Clayton. “Great! Let’s get back to the clinic!” he responded.
“There’s one more thing I want to do...” McKenna said. Suddenly, she used her superpowers to turn the entire ocean pink! She turned the sharks pink, the crocodile pink, and even the mermaids! Everyone in the ocean was happier because pink made everyone happy.
Lady McKenna and Sir Clayton rocketship-flew all the way back to the clinic and to Dr. Cass and Dr. Trucco’s lab. There, they began making the potion. They threw in all the ingredients and mixed it up. Then, Dr. Cass and Dr. Trucco gave Lady McKenna the potion through her special tubie. As the potion started to work, McKenna tasted sausage patties in her mouth—her favorite! It worked!
The bad guys popped right out of Lady McKenna! As soon as they popped out, Dr. Cass and Dr. Trucco threw them into the garbage. The garbage was taken to the landfill, where birds ate the bad guys, making them disappear forever!!!
Sir Clayton Remington and Lady McKenna lived happily ever after. The End.
