She picked up her paintbrush and she started to paint
Then she drew with her crayons what a picture she made
Orange and green, black yellow and blue
Were the colors she picked, to paint the memories she knew
She painted, put me in bed and tuck me in for the night
In the morning when we get up, you can take me outside
Where you can watch me, as I play in the grass
And if you will carry me, I will love you for that
Now it?s on to the sitting room, Mom as we make our way
And I bring Dad a drink; it?s such a wonderful day
Reaching high upon my tip-toes, I try to open the door
If you will help me, then I will love you some more
Yes this is my story, of my Mom and Me
Such a beautiful picture, of our story to see
But these are just some, and you can bet there are more
Of my favorite memories, when I was just four
She picked up her paint brush, and she started to paint
Then she drew with her crayons, what a picture she made
